Eastern Alliance
Background
The Eastern Alliance is made up of from over eight different countries. Five of the EAs member countries were part of the former USSR, and have become independent at the end of 1995. The remaining countries are from the former Peoples Republic of China, which started to break up at the end of 2011 following a brief and bloody civil war, heavily supported by the Eastern Alliance.Since the addition of it's former Chinese members, the EA has grown in power in the east. Their combined armed force and armies take orders from a central command. Each country in the EA has it's own defence force aswell as a reservist army.
Military
The EA armed force are divided into 3: Army, Airforce and Navy (called Sea Forces). Each of these are large and well equiped. The 3 forces have an annual intake of new recruits chosen from the best of each countries yearly conscriptions. If picked to join the EA armed forces recruits serve a minimum of 5 years. Troops are well paid, so often stay on for longer, and are well trained and motivated. EA troops are well looked after and remain staunchly loyal to the EA leadership.About a third of the EA arrmed forces are made up of full time personnel who sign up for between 12 and 24 years. These troops are classes as the EA Elite Forces. As they make their way up through the ranks they are spread out through the rest of the conscript army, making up their senior ranks and officers.
The EA army Elite Forces are always equiped with the best equipment, and trained to the highest standards. Despite being new, they are well recognised as being a formidable force, and have been successful in many small-scale conflicts over the past few years.
The first unit with places for booking is the Independant Helicopter Assault Company.
