Background

NATO has been asked by the United Nations to gather and train a large military national force from the rapid reaction force based in Europe. Their aim is to find an secure factories and bases that have been identified by UN Observers.

Structure

The RRF task force that NATO have established is made up of British, American and German forces, as well as mixed contingencies from other nations. The force is made up of the elite from each army and have been well equiped and trained.

The task force is under the command of a british officer, Brig Davies, of the Roal marine Commandos. The other units are commanded be different offices from mainly German and American Armies.

Extra support from an American and British Naval task force will provide the task force with armoured units and helicopter support. The Naval task force will be providing two aircraft carriers, and a helicopter assault carrier, along with a full fleet of supporting vessels. These aircraft carriers will give the RRF task force very powerful air cover, and give them the freedom to move troops around the area to redeploy very rapidly.

Objectives

The operation has been given top priority in NATO, and the FRU force will be deployed in the area in June 2009 to recce targets and find key personel wanted by the UN and NATO. In addition several war criminals known to be in the region are to be targeted in the operation.

Tactics

The FRU force will be air dropped into the operations area, and will then deploy and carry out their missions. The Naval task force is due to be in location in the sea of Okhotsk by the end of May.

The remainder of the SOU will be deploying after the initial recon mission is completed.
