The CFF were outlawed in 2009, so although classed as rebels they do fight alongside the MLA, but work for the Russian Federation, who mostly utilise them to carry out attacks against the MLA, keeping their persistent threats at bay, leaving the RF to concentrate on fighting the EA and Government forces. In the past CFF members have been able to infiltrate the MLA, and have been largely successful in keeping the MLA out of the action.

In recent months, however, driven by ever worsening conditions and lack of both work and food, the MLA have been able to bolster their numbers with new recruits. The CFF, however, struggle to recruit new members because of their idealist political agenda.
